Applications：

Used as an additive in NdFeB permanent magnets.

Dysprosium (Dy) is an essential material for preparation of magnetostrictive alloy terfenol (terbium-dysprosium-iron alloy).

In NdFeB magnets, part of the neodymium can be replaced with dysprosium to increase coercivity, thereby improving the heat resistance of the magnet. Dy is used in high-performance applications such as electric vehicle motors.
